Activity reports and welfare.

As a fundraising charity, we aim to provide assistance to needy individuals from our own community and support the work of other charitable organisations within our local area. We also support the work of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), which provides assistance to needy communities throughout the world. For information on the work of Lions International foundation click on this link - LCIF.

We are a 'model club' in the Lions International sightfirst campaign. As a model club we have donated a total of £6000 to this campaign in the last 2 years. To read more about the aims and achievements of the sightfirst campaign, click on this link - sightfirst

In the financial year ending 30th June 2007 we have made donations totalling £17,656. The projects that we have supported with these funds are listed below.

We also participated with other lions clubs in the area to host an It's a knockout day for 8 local centres for adults with learning difficulties.

We operate a minibus, renewed in 2001, which is available to over 70 organisations in the Chichester area. This provides a low cost transport facility for hire to approved clubs and societies.

Thank you for your very kind donation on behalf of Lions Club of Chichester for £550.  We are truly delighted with your members generosity and I am pleased to attach a photo you can use  for your periodic newsletter, which as you rightly say in your letter, will help keep them in touch with the cause they have fundraised for.
As arranged with Stephen Kill, the donation will enable him to purchase Cardiff Cards and I will let him know that your donation has arrived.
